Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy

Investigation: I decided to take part in Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy. It's and action organized every year in Poland. Its aim is to raise money for equipment to hospitals mainly for kids. It is the biggest and most popular charity action in Poland. (www.en.wosp.org.pl) I've always donated money for it, and this time i wanted to take a bigger part.

I did it for my siervice part of CAS. In my opinion it responded for auntentic need because we were raising money for specialistic equipment for hospitals and save their lifes. After this project I hope I'll become more rersponsible and I'll be better in communicating with other strange people.

Preparation: I searched on the Internet where to apply for WOŚP (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej pomocy). I wrote an email with all informations about myself to apply and few days after they replied with an invitation to sign papers. "Hej!Twój formularz zgłoszeniowy został zatwierdzony w głównym sztabie w Warszawie, nie zostało nic innego jak go PODPISAĆ. Zapraszamy do naszego biura (adres poniżej)." So, I went and signed papers :)

Action: When the date came, we had to meet in shopping centre to get equipment we will need. We got a bedge with our picture and a can for money. I signed everything and I was ready to go. I went to most populated areas to raise as much money as I can. I very enjoyed it and I was suprised and happy with peoples' positive attitude.

Reflection: It was very freezing and raining but it was a good experience. I enjoyed raising money. The heavier the can got, the happier I was. I knew I am raising money for a good reason.From now on, I will apply to participate in this even every year. I will also encourage others to either take part or just donate money. I will spread the information about this around school and social media.
