Toy collection for kids in orthanages or with disorders for Christmas

Investigation: From the fact that Christmas was comming soon and many people were excited from presents, me and my friends thought about those people which don't often get presents and don't spend Christmas as we all do. We choose to help kids from Orthanage.

Preparation: We searched for a placed with kids that we could help and read about them a bit to find out what type of toys or other things they might need.

Action: We made a poster informing people about our action. The box for toys was placed in the library.

Reflection: I learned that helping people especially on those special ocasionas is very important and makes you a better person. I felt good with myself for trying to help kids and I was very happy that they will smile.

Demonstration: After i felt how good it is to help people, i often donate things or money for charities whenever i have a chance to.

08.02.2016 The box for toys kept standing in the library, I was very dissapointed because we didnt raise as much toys as we wanted. Perhaph, people were too busy preparing for Christmas that they forgot about our action. Also, maybe we didn't advertise it too well and too less people knew about it. I would feel stupid to come to kids with just few toys, that's why we decided not to. We don't want to give up thought. Another even is comming soon which is Easter, so we thought we will improve all the things that we didn't do well the first time, and hopefully we will donate toys for kids on Easter. To improve our project we decided to first write a newsletter to parents to spread the information about your action. "Due to certain circumstances, we could not deliver toys to the children for Christmas. However, we would like to continue this action. We are planning on delivering the toys for Easter to the Local Care Health Centre in Tanow. You can find the box in the library on the top floor. To everyone that has already brought toys, a massive thank you! We would kindly like to ask everyone else to bring more toys that are not used anymore to make other children happier! Have a great break!Sincerely, D2 girls." Second step, will be preparing a new poster also informing students about this action. I am happy that we don't give up easily and I hope this time we will be able to make kids happy. I'll update my post and write about progress :)

06.03.16 Our competition is going well, some people decided to bring bags of toys and I can see a big progress :) We are very happy from that. We decided to write one last newsletter informing about our cometition and wait for maybe more toys to come. Before Easter comes, we will take all collected toys and pack them in nice boxes to then donate them for kids :)

20.03.16 We have packed up all the toys to the boxes. We put a lot of effort to make the boxes look nice and colourful so the kids are happy when they get it. Some of them needed washing, so we did everything to make them look best as we could. We went to the the health center and delivered the toys. Unfortunatelly we could not see with the kiids so we couldn't see the reactions and smiles on their faces. However, the final goal was achieved, they got the gifts for Easter. We were very glad to help them and make them happy.
