I noticed that I don't do much sport except the P.E that I do every week at school. I can't really find time for other sports and I decided that I need to change it. I used to go swimming last school year but this school year doesn't allow me for regular swimming because of the amound of work that I have. I thought it would be a good idea to challenge myself and try lots of different sports atleast once and experience new things. First I thought of different things that I could try. I already managed to try squash first time in my life and I really enjoyed it. On summer holidays I also played tennis a little bit so it kinf of prepared my for squash because those sports are pretty similar. I searched on the internet what other things I could try in my town, and already made a list. In winter they open a huge ice skating area so it's a good opportunity to visit the place. Also, there's a new entertainment that they recently opened and it's the jumping park. It's a park with trampolins were you can practise different saltos and stuff like this or just go and have fun and burn some calories :). On summer holidays I also managed to try wake boarding which is really fun. Unfortunately it's more a summer sport so I can't continue it in a cold weather because it requires to be in water.
Update: So far I've tried ice skating with school in winter (the project is explained in my posts). As soon as warmer days came I decided to finally try wake boarding Investigation: My friend from school is very interested in water sports such as wake boarding. He introduced me to this sport because he saw my interest and excitement. My town Szczecin has a lake wih wake board park so I researched it on the internet and reserved a time or my first try.
Preparation: Before I've started I spent a lot of time looking at my friend and other people wake boarding. The guy that instructed me gave me a brief explanation of basic things I need to know. I rented my board and decided to try.
Action: Because the water was cold I had to wear an extra costumme, I got all the equipment needed in the park. My beguining was hard because it was my first time and I was stressed. I felt a little big ashamed because everyone else was wake boarding for a long time and I was the only one not knowing what's going on. However, I didn't give up and kept trying. Reflection: It was actually a good new experience. I will never be as good as other people that I saw but I am happy I took this challenge. It has helped me go over my boarders of fear and taughed me something new. When it gets warm enoguh I will definatelly spend more time on wake boarding.
Another sport that I've managed to play was tennis. This was my first time. I never planned to take such challenge but I lived in a resort on my holidays with a tennis cord and my friend encouraged me to try.
Investigation: We went to see the cord and sign up for an hour of playying.
Preparation: We rented all the equipment needed and wore our sporty clothes
Action: On the beguining my frirnd was a teacher because he has playyed tennis before. I didn't really know how to play and he was struggling to teach me. The weather was very warm but I really wanted to learn something so we took the instructor to help me out. He trained proffesional tennis players so there was hope for me. He showed me how to serve and then tought me how to hold a racket properly.
Reflection: I think tennis is the sport that I am least talented in, however it was a great challenge to try it and find out about my skills. I will not come back to this sport because I am really bad at it and maybe it's too late to gain such skill, however it has prepared me for another sport which I've tried- squash. It was a funny entertainment and a good way to spend time. This challenge has also taught me to work with others- my instructor and a friend which tried their best to teach me tennis but on the beguining I failed to understand. Few minutes later we found a common language.

This challenge also gave me an opportunity to pass the knowledge I have to my friends from school one day when we played tennis.
Squash went okay, however because I've never tried it before it was hard to play this sport. I was lucky enough that we had a trainer which explained us the rules.
Investigation: We got a chance to try a new sport, we didn't know what to expect on the beginning.
Preparation: I didn't need an extra preparation for this project. I already had my PE kit prepared and all the equipment we needed we got there.
Action: First the trainer explained us the basic rules in this sport. She showed us the proper way to hold a rocket and told us about the position we should have. We started off with a warm up. Everyone got a chance to try kitting a ball. Some of us were better because they have done tennis before and it's kind of similar. We helped each other but also had a great fun watching people that couldn't play. At the end we all got better.
Reflection: It's not one of my favourite sports but it was good to try something new.
